Missouri Yet To Win A Meaningful Road Game

Feb 25, 2011 10:26 AM

Missouri is 17-0 at home, 3-1 on neutral courts and 2-5 on the road.

The Tigers shoot 12 percentage points worse on the road, get eight fewer rebounds and force seven fewer turnovers. The differences shrink a little if you remove the extremes, but not entirely.

This is a bizarre trend that goes beyond even the normal home-road splits you’d expect in college basketball.

Morris Twins Push Kansas Over Missouri

Feb 8, 2011 6:29 AM

No. 2 Kansas easily handled No. 19 Missouri thanks to strong play from the Morris twins on Monday night.

Marcus and Markieff Morris combined for 38 points, 15 rebounds and seven assists.

"Every time we run our offense, we feel like we are going to get a good look," reserve Mario Little said. "Coach designs good plays. I think we have one of the best coaching staffs in the country. If we run our offense, I think we are going to get a good shot every time."

Josh Selby Likely To Miss Missouri Game

Feb 7, 2011 6:30 AM

Kansas doesn't expect to have freshman Josh Selby for Monday night's battle with No. 14 Missouri.

Selby has what is described as a stress reaction in his right foot. After warming up, he decided not to play at Nebraska on Saturday.

"Him not practicing today, and being off since Tuesday is not a great sign for a guy playing against a team like Missouri that gets after it like that," Jayhawks coach Bill Self said Sunday.

"Yesterday he still experienced a little bit of discomfort and tenderness. Maybe it's better 24 hours later but I'm not believing it's going to be to the point where I have total confidence putting him out there."
